Need to change disks connection to the array controller

I have an rp4440 running HP-UX 11.1. The initial connection for the disk array was connected to controller 0/2/1/0/4. I now need to change the disks array to connect to smart array controller 0/6/1/0/4 . I have slow backups as my tape drives on same controler. I already have data on the system and how can I change without having to loose files. On the drives I have created volume groups Vg00- vg05. What commands can I use. Please help. Here is the hardware path and driver information

Re: Need to change disks connection to the array controller

Best way is take maps for all volume groups in preview mode like this:
Following line put in one file and execute.
Make sure you keep map file at root level so that you can get them in single user mode.

#!bin/sh
for i in 0 1 2 3 4 5
do
echo "Exporting Volume group vg0$i :"
vgexport -m vg0$i.map -s -p -v vg0$i
done

EOF

Shutdown server and change controller.

Bring up server into single user mode and remove all volume groups using vgexport command which removes from /etc/lvmtab.

for i in 0 1 2 3 4 5
mkdir /dev/vg0$i
mknod /dev/vg0$i/group c 64 0x0$i0000
vgimport -m vg0$i.map -s -v vg0$i
done

reboot server.

Re: Need to change disks connection to the array controller

Thanks and the command for removing, do you use vgexport?
