Not able to change GSP console IP configuration

Hi,

I am trying to change GSP console configuration and by doing LS I can see what its set to but when I do LC to change the value it's says - command can only be executed by system admin.

Any idea.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Re: Not able to change GSP console IP configuration

How are you logged in to the GSP? As Admin?

Re: Not able to change GSP console IP configuration

Are you logged into the GSP as a user with Admin privileges?

The default userid is admin, and I believe the default password is admin as well.

Actually, I believe both the user and password have the "a" capitalized:

Admin
Admin

Re: Not able to change GSP console IP configuration

Hi,

No, I simply doing ctrl + B and going in GSP that way. I am not entering any user ID or anything. Hardware is 9000/800/L3000-7x.

But I will try what you are suggesting.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Not able to change GSP console IP configuration

Hi Mike,
I had this when trying to upgrade gsp on an L2000 when at level A.9 .
Could not set ip , GSP reset button reset GSP , but did not allow access to change IP. Eventual fix was to remove GSP (core io) board, remove battery , wait 10 min or so and refit. Then GSP was totally reset, and could login as admin, with admin authority.
