OS support by rp3440

Can anyone tell me, can I install windows sever 2003 OS on rp3440. If yes, tell me how. And if no, do you have any suggestions?

Re: OS support by rp3440

No you cannot.

The rp3440 is a PA-RISC based system and supports at the moment only HP-UX 11.11 and 11.23 (aka 11i v1 and v2). In future you can run 11i v3 too.

Redmond software will never run on this box.

IMHO, HP-UX is the best software you can run on this box ;-)

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: OS support by rp3440

As Torsten said: Only HPUX can be run on this box.

Check this link with the quickspecs of the server, overthere you will see the supported OSs (under Operating System support):

Only the Integrity rx series of Itanium-2 HP servers can run Windows 2003 Enterprise.
So you'd need a model like the rx4640 - here are the specs:

Hi,

No you can't, vmware is i386 only not pa-risc. You can however install linux on your rp3440.
