The rp3440 is a PA-RISC based system and supports at the moment only HP-UX 11.11 and 11.23 (aka 11i v1 and v2). In future you can run 11i v3 too.
Redmond software will never run on this box.
IMHO, HP-UX is the best software you can run on this box ;-)

No you can't, vmware is i386 only not pa-risc. You can however install linux on your rp3440.
