Online replacement of PCI card in rp7420 server

Hello all,

There is network card failure in rp7420 server and the same has to be replaced online.
Can anybody help me to get the procedure.

Its really not all that different from any other server. Its a PCI card that fits in a PCI bus. The server is cell based with adds another layer of difficulty.

Honestly, if you have a hardware contract, let HP do it. they have people trained for it.

Easy way:

go into sam:
# sam
Peripheral Devices
Cards
Select the card to be replaced
Actions menu -> Replace

Follow the on-screen prompts.
