PDC Upgrade on a L1000

I want install a PHSS_30576 on a L1000, but I want do it not from swinstall but from tape.
How I can put the .frm in a tape ?
How I can take it from a depot ?

it is documented in the patch text, Installation Instructions section:

To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the tape drive, use the command:

dd if=/tmp/PHSS_30576.depot of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2k

You can copy the patch depot to a tape with the following:

swpackage -s /tmp/PHSS_30576.depot -x target_type=tape @ /dev/rmt/0m

You can then install from the tape with:

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true -x /dev/rmt/0m
