Parcreate error on Superdome

I am trying to create another partition on the Superdome with 2 cells, which are identical in size. I keep gettting this error after putting in command: parcreate -P par1 -c 0/4:base:y:ri -c 0/6:base:y:ri.
error: Can not Lock Stable Complex Configuration Data (-43) command failed. Any ideass?

Re: Parcreate error on Superdome

This could possibly be hardware related. The par commands make modifications to the complex profile which is stored on the PDH Riser Board.

A good description of the Riser board is here http://www.docs.hp.com/cgi-bin/fsearch/framedisplay?top=/hpux/onlinedocs/A7026-96008/A7026-96008_top.html&con=/hpux/onlinedocs/A7026-96008/00/00/5-con.html&toc=/hpux/onlinedocs/A7026-96008/00/00/5-toc.html&searchterms=pdh%7criser%7csuperdome&queryid=20040514-061519
See PDH Riser Board

Have hardware support check the system out.

Here is the Superdome user guide in case you need it http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/A5201-96025/A5201-96025.pdf (the last link was actually for an Integrity but it had a great description of the board.)
