Part Numbers

I have some V-class memory with the part# A5067-60001 on it.I have been on part surfer and cannot find out what this is and the correct part number to use.

I appreciate the help on this.

Re: Part Numbers

Hi Jon,

the part surfer output in the above link is unfortunately not very informative. I verified that the part number belongs to a 128mb Memory DIMM (88 bit) (Exchange part no. A4703-69001). The 88 bit dimms are designed for the multinode V-Class cluster. It is not supported by HP to mix them with the normal 80 bit Dimms (Ex. Part No. A4828-69101) for a single node V-Class.

Re: Part Numbers

There are three different V-class systems with three different memory boards and DIMM part numbers. The V2500 and V2600 were typically individual systems and used DIMM part numbers A3732A (8x128MB) and A5082A(8x256MB). The V2500SCA was inconnected nodes of special V2500s to for systems with up to 128 processor that used A5199A (8x128) and A5085A (8x256MB). The V2250 and V2200 used A3730A option UTC (8x128MB). One, two or four memory board pairs were supported on the V2250/V2200, but not three. All memory boards had to be loaded identically on all V-class systems. Memory DIMMs from the V2250/V2200 could extracted from their boards and used with the memory boards for the V2500/V2600 but not with the V2500SCA. I don't think SCA memory DIMMs will work in the standard system and the 8x256MB modules will are not supported in the V2250 or V2200.
