Please help me, for installing and troubleshooting graphic card on 9000 rp4440
I want to install ATI Radeon 7500 Graphics adaptor(AB551A) for Rp4440. I included necessary drivers to kernel (gvid) and installed necessary patches (Xserver cumulative). After adding the graphics card to slot-7 (As per the manual), I don't get anything on the monitor!
My questions are
1) is it possible to use any mouse and keyboard or only A7861C is necessary for rp4440?
2) USB to PS2 adaptor(A7782A) is optional or mandatory?
3) What else could be problem, why I am not getting CDE?
I am able see the hardware (Graphic Card) in ioscan/sam.
Note: Rp4440 is running HP-Ux 11.23 (Ver2)
Thanks.

Re: Please help me, for installing and troubleshooting graphic card on 9000 rp4440
"ATI RADEON 7500 as Default Xserver Device" ?
http://docs.hp.com/en/AB551-90003/AB551-90003.pdf
Make sure the XServer is started and running on this device.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Thanks for your recommendation.
I already red that document and trace step by step procedures, and unfortunately,I do not have any response in monitor.
If it's possible please give me any further recommendation.

Re: Please help me, for installing and troubleshooting graphic card on 9000 rp4440
Some weeks ago, there was a similar thread.
The owner of the thread was continuing saying "all is checked, nothing is working", but after he posted the output of the commands in the manual it was clear the result was always "Xserver not running" - clearly written on his screen.
So double check everything and post the results here if needed.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Consider to check the configured screen resolution can be displayed by the monitor.

Re: Please help me, for installing and troubleshooting graphic card on 9000 rp4440
Actually I connect from a x-window client such as x-win32 to rp4440; so I think that x-server is running
But how I can check that really x-server is running in HP-UX command prompt?
Why I have not any signal on keyboard, no light on LED (Caps lock, Num Lock, Scroll Luck)?
Regards
