Powerfail logging with ls3 (LanSafe III)
Hello all,
we're using a IA64 rx2620 server (HP-UX 11.23) with an installed ups (R3000XR). The UPS is managed by LanSafeIII (v1.0) and the process /usr/ls3/ls3 is running.
In case of a powerfailure there is only a message that appears on the console and entry in the eventlog of MP/GSP.
Does anyone know how to get ls3 configured that such messages will be added into the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log ?!
Thanks,
Frank

Re: Powerfail logging with ls3 (LanSafe III)
Hi Frank,
The LanSafeIII software uses /opt/ls3/Log as a logfile. I don't know if you can change this. Try to start the utility.
To start the command line menu:
# /opt/ls3/ls3con
To start the graphical user interface export your DISPLAY variable and start:
# /opt/ls3/ls3conX
Hope this helps,
Robert-Jan
