Re: Problem getting console login using option MP card in RX1600, RX2600 etc
Hi Mits,
I am trying to use the MP Lan console. When I connect a console thro' the 25 pin MP serial console, I am able to see the system console. It is not working only thro' MP Lan console. Do you know what are the settings required to access the system console thro' MP Lan console?
Thanks
Yasar

Re: Problem getting console login using option MP card in RX1600, RX2600 etc
This sounds really different now!
If you are able to use the serial console, you should be able to use the LAN console too.
Because the console is mirrored!
Log on to the MP and check the LAN settings (LS/LC). Now connect a telnet session. Is his working?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Problem getting console login using option MP card in RX1600, RX2600 etc
First your host has to be on the same subnet as the MP.
From the console connection get the MP lan config:
MP>cm> ls
if it's not configured you need to configure it using the LC command.
Open hyperterminal and set it up to connect using TCP/IP make sure you use the following:
9600
8
Xon/Xoff
and in emualtion use ANSIW
Hope this helps
