HP-UX 11.11 L3000 GSP rev B. (built-in SWC).
The GSP Lan port has a ip address, hostname,
and I added the arp entry. I am trying to set this up remotely, the server is in a different
location.
I setup the basic networking part of the SWC (GSP rev B.).
I have the SWC browser up and running and I have access to the GSP.
However, when I hit a ctrl^b it brings up these messages and it won't allow me
to enter any commands (GSP or otherwise).
I first logged in:
Service Processor login: [return]
Service Processor password: [return]
After I login these messages are displayed:
***********************************************
GSP ACCESS IS NOT SECURE
No GSP users are currently configured and remote acess is enabled.
Set up a user with a password (see SO command)
OR
Disable all types of remote access (EL or ER commands)
***********************************************
Then I typed in a control^b and I keep getting the same message with no write access to the console.
[Read only - use ^Ecf for console write access.]
Any ideas as to what is wrong here?
10 points to any good answer.
TIA, Gino

Re: Problem with GSP configuration on L3000.
from ITRC knowledge base I found a doc
KBRC00003019 - L-Class - How to get GSP console control
[Read only - use ^Ecf for console write access.] means that it is possible just for a person to take the control of GSP.
In order to do it just issue CTRL+Ecf (You need to do "CTRL+C", then press "E&F" together).
I hope this helps you.
Best regards,
Ettore
