Problem with unknow HP memory

Hi,

I would like to know on which server(s) my HP Memory has been designed for.

Here description of them :
64Mo 72pinn
REV F A2580-80001 (front)
LOT#156335 1399 (behind)
There is no label, I don't know if it is EDO or not.

Rem :
There are lots of circuits (18 per side)
Then these memories are tallest than standard 72pin memories (4.6cm instead of 3.6cm).
Each "main" circuits are 24pin and all have the same reference :
LGS
GM71C16400CJ6
9917 AG5 KOREA

Thanx.

Re: Problem with unknow HP memory

A2580-80001 is the part no. for a blank board without any memory on it.
Is there no other p/n on the DIMM?
There is no good troubleshooting with bad data

Re: Problem with unknow HP memory

May we ask if it is currently installed on a machine?
Memory is designed to work in *families* of machines (such as K-class or Nova class) if you tell us what machine it is currently installed in we can tell you what other machines it will also work in.

All I can say, is that these memories don't work on a HP E-50

Re: Problem with unknow HP memory

A2580-80001 is the pc board part number. If you substitute the 80001 with 60001 you get the complete board part number, which reveals that these are 64Mb memory simms for use in 9000 Kclass systems and must be installed as a pair to give you 128Mb .
They can be bought as A3027A product I believe.

They may possibly be ok to use on the A180 server as well

Re: Problem with unknow HP memory

I am looking at purchasing RAM of this type (two pairs), does anyone know if it will function correctly (if at all!) on a Supermicro P6DNE dual PPro board? This board is capable of taking high density SIMMS, up to 128mb per stick. I have no way of knowing if the keys of this HP RAM are cut in the same position as standard SIMMs or if they are shifted, please help! Thanks

Memory used in the HP 9000 series of Unix servers is totally incompatible with PCs.

Re: Problem with unknow HP memory

These SIMMS are useless for me. Either I push these ram to trash or I give or sell them to someone who is interested.
