Question about HP A3495-60301 HP-PB 10 / 100Base - TX NIC

Hi,

we have an old HP9000, model 9000/867/G40/H40 and we have leftover NIC (mentioned in the subject).

Does anyone know is the leftover NIC compatible with our HP9000?

Thanks in advance,
Harri

Harri,

According to Partsurfer ( http://partsurfer.hp.com ), it looks like a match. The optional interfaces for the G40 lists a "A3495A
10/100Base-T LAN Adapter Interface Board - for the HP-PB I/O Board Slot (Auto Senses Between 10Mbps and 100Mbps)". That should be your card.

are you asking whether this card can be used in the H40?

Yes, there is a driver for it in both HP-UX 10.10, 10.20 and 11.00 (last OS supported on the Nova class machines). I believe it is bundled into a general Ethernet driver bundle in 11.00 on the Install CD-1 or CD-4.
