RP 2400

On RP2600 we had only character based console using RS-232. We have installed 2D graphic card A6150B( Supported on this model both by server hardware and OS). Problem is, GUI is not working. Can anybody help me for this ?

Followed complete installation procedure and card found installed.

Check if you have CDE installed
swlist -l fileset |grep CDE

If not you wont be able to have graphics working

Hi,

I think you have to make change in initial configuration and change the path of console from RS232 to Graphics card in PDC menu.

Well , you can not use this card as console so I think console path need not be changed. Anyway what u can do is check the CDE first and if not , install it. It should work

Hi,
CDE is installed by default when installing a rp2400 but you may have to modify the /usr/dt/config/Xservers file. Copy this file to /etc/dt/config/ directory and do the modifications there. You can find some examples in the file how to configure separate console and graphics display.

Try some third Party X windows software like Xmanager etc. Connect to ur Server using it.
if U get the display X wiidows is installed.
