Re: RP 2405

Hi Bona,

Couple of things:

1) Is the boot path correct for primary boot device? Run SEA at the IPL & verify the path defined for primary. Give the path manually or via boot pX after the SEA.

2) Check all cable connections & SCSI termination as well as reseat the SCSI HBA for the boot device. System may have been jarred in transit.

Re: RP 2405

Thanks Jeff,
tha path is Okay, and when I run SEA, everything comes out fine. Right now, I am having the same problem when I try to boot of a CD, I was booting off this same CD a few minutes ago. Now this just beats me.

Re: RP 2405

Hi (again) Bona,

Well, if this is a new machine that was just delivered I would place a call to the Response Center & have them send out a CE to check it. Sounds like something was damaged or jarred in transit.
May just need to reseat all the cards, DIMMS & CPUs and have all the cable connections checked. But it could need something replaced. It should be under warranty.

Rgds,
Jeff
