On previous machines, the command IN/ALL from boot menu provided the software ID (dec) with was the same as the host ID but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
Anu thoughts ?

Solutionit seems that the operating system displays only a part of the software ID in the "uname -i" output:
Example:
# uname -i
3816881912
You can see the software ID also in the BCH information menue with the "pr" command:
Information Menu: Enter command > pr
Model: hp server . (model string 9000/800/rp3440 )
PROCESSOR INFORMATION
HVERSION SVERSION Processor
Processor Speed Model Model/Op CVERSION State
--------- -------- -------- -------- -------- -------------
0 800 MHz 0x0887 0x0491 3.2 Active
1 800 MHz 0x0887 0x0491 3.2 Idle
Central Bus Speed (in MHz) : 200
Software ID (dec) : 4490848908372672248
Software ID (hex) : 0x3e52b349e380fef8
Software Capability : 0x01f0
you see the relation between the HPUX value and the BCH value when comparing both in HEX mode:
HPUX: 0xe380fef8 (3816881912)
BCH: 0x3e52b349e380fef8 (4490848908372672248)
As you can see, HPUX only displays the last 32 bit of the Software ID.
best regards
Stefan

Re: RP3410 host ID
