RP4440

I had some trouble installing some A6826A pci-x
dual 2gb fiber cards in this system.I got a couple to work.Is there a firmware upgrade I need to do on these servers to make this card work correctly?I searched for it but could not find any.I found some firmware upgrades for the fiber card but it was for different servers and not for this one.

there isnt any firmware update specifically for the cards for the rp4440 that I know of.

The latest pdc firmware ir 45.11 and is available here, but doesnt list the A6826A

There is some patches for HPUX though in the patch database, especially this cumulative sam patch

which does have this in the patch details

SAM does not recognize the following new
hardware devices:
Dual port PCI-X 2 Gb/1Gb Fibre Channel Host
Bus Adapter (Product# A6826A

worth checking this patch is instaled at least.

In waht way did they not work?

Shalom Jon,

if the patch was installed:

swverify \* make sure its not corrupt.

Wondering what the ioscan -fnC fc

output looks like on these cards.

For this server class I recommend letting HP Hardware check and upgrade the card firmware.
