RP5450 don't run with 550mhz processor!

Hi,
I have a hp9000 server rp5450 revision B (A5191B) with 360mhz processors. It works very well.
When I upgrade to 550mhz processors it doesn't run. Yes, I change the dip switch.
The PDC firmware version is 44.28.
The part-number of system-board is A5191-60016 (Rev.B).
I need help.

3 and 5 on, all others off

What means "not run".
Does it reach the boot menu?

The server is power on, but it doesn't show me the post in console... it doesn't show me the MAIN MENU... the led "RUN" is blinking, but the post doesn't initiate... the server is static.

How many CPUs do you have?

Did you try to install only 1 in slot 0.

Yes, I tried to install only 1 CPU in slot 0, and I tried too, install all 4 CPU's. Did not work.

Did this board work with 360MHz CPUs or is it a different board?
How many "old" CPUs were installed?

This board is revision B (A5191-60016) and support 360, 440, 550mhz.
4x 360mhz processors were installed.

hi,

first, check the processor slots are clean, no small particles in there.

second, check the processor pins thoroughly. These are easily damaged if not packaged correctly or installed correctly. If there all ok and none slightly in deeper than the others, make sure there clean also.

Then install one at once, leaving the processor support modules in place and securing them by screwing them in evenly as stated on the CPU top.

Can you get to the GSP?

you also might want to check to see that you have the correct ones. The RP74xx & RP54xx CPUs look the same, The RP54xx are A6146A and the RP74xx are A5866A

The A6146-04001 (540MHz ) CPU operates at 540 MHz only when installed in an A5191-60016 rev B system board.

CPUs must be installed in the following sequence: 0, 3, 1, then 2
