RP7410 and npars

We have a rp7410 and is harware partitioned.

The first server (cell 0 ) already used 4 of 4 CPUтАЩs, and used 16 of 16 memory slots.

Second server ( cell 1 )used 2 of 4 CPUтАЩs and used 8 of 16 memory slots.

Is there a way for the 1st server to use one, or two of the free CPU's

THANKS,

Re: RP7410 and npars

Cells in different hardware partitions (nPars) are electrically isolated so you will not be able to use any resources on cell board 1 or the associated PCI slots for cell board 1.

In order to utilize the additional CPU's in cell board 1 you would have to create a single hardware partition with both cells 0 and 1 then create two vPars to host the two systems. vPars would give you the ability to use the additional CPU's. Note vPars require a software license.
