Can you use the A6913A cell board in both of these servers?I took a A6913A out of an Rx7620 and it was working.I put it in An RP7420 and I get a cell hault error.I changed the cpus to the ones that work in a RP7420.Any Ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Re: RP7420 RX7620

Jon,
Yes, The A6913A is the same cell board for the rx7620 and rp7420. You may see this board with a 5 by 5 part number (A6913-12345) where the 12345 signifies the cpus that were shipped on the board.

The do have different firmware loaded on them. I would recommend that you do a SYSREV command at the CM prompt of the MP. You could then update the firmware on the new cell by using the DFW command, also located at the CM prompt.

Good Luck - Tim
