Hi
Can someone please advise on the replacement of RP8400 Cell boards. I am being told that if there is a fault on a cell board the complete cell board must be replaced which therefore includes replacing all installed CPU's. If the cell board fails then surely you can simply swap over the CPU's from the failed board?
Comments and Asnwers greatfully received.
Thanks
Dave

Solution
Hi Dave,
Well it's been my experience that on systems under maintenance that *any* fault on a cell board will result in HP swapping the entire cell board.
I suppose that if you have no maintenance you could move the good CPUs over to a new cell board. BUT you should definitively verify that the new cell boards and the old CPUs are compatible. There's been a lot of revision updates on both since the 'Domes first came out. I suspect that's why HP does it that way.
My 2 cents,
Jeff
