Re: RP8400 firmware update

Current release is 6.4.

You can find the bits on www.itrc.com, but I would recommend to contact HP and let them do this. If you do some things wrong, you could damage your system. It is advisible, to upgrade from one version to the next (at least 5.0) until to the current.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: RP8400 firmware update

The scree board (see the link from DCE http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/questionanswer.do?threadId=967224 ) is very important. Make sure it is installed!

Hope this helps!

Re: RP8400 firmware update

hi joelmel,

This is not just a straight forward process to upgrade these larger systems. I would recommend that you have a HP engineer to do it for you as it takes quite some time to complete allt he steps needed. All the instructions and details are in the patches when downloaded.

these are available here

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=2512349&swItem=PF-CKEYMAT0605&prodNameId=86792&swEnvOID=7&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=3

Torsten, new release is out now version 6.5
