Re: Rack System
Hi,
What type of difference do you want to know.
I don't know the price difference but some basic diff:
Rack mounted systems comes with rack and rail kit while Pedestrial ( floor mounted systems comes in with a trolly beneath the system)
A hetrogeneous and densely populated server room requires the servers to be rack mounted.
while if you have few numbers of servers you may have it pedestrial model.
Internal hardware wise there is no difference between the two.
Rack systems cabling, maintainence etc., are easy and it looks professional.
That's all what i can say
Regards,

Solution
Hi,
Rack system : These are mounted in RACK and comes with Railing Fittings. Server can Slide in and out for maintenance. One single Rack can have multiple servers depending on thier dimensions thereby utilizing the space effectively.
Floor mount: These are like desktop system and comes without any additional fitting. Maintenance becomes bit critical as compared to RACK mounted systems especially if they are more in number.
Hope that addresses your question.
