Re: Remote console on K-class server
The simplest method would be to use a modem and connect it to your company's internal phone network. Tell the phone group that this line is not to have a map to the external phone lines, ie, local extensionn only. Then you can setup remote access. However, modems have their own idiosyncracies (problems) so using a serial concentrator (or a Web Console adapter) would be more reliable. Tere isn't any LAN-based console built into the K-class systems.

Re: Remote console on K-class server
Hi,
sounds like you would be better with a secure web console connected to the serial port. You can then configure this to use over the lan and access through a web browser.
The Hp part number is J3591A

Re: Remote console on K-class server
Santosh,
Since there are many responses to your question, with varying answers.
I will agree with Bill and Andrew. Your best bet is a Secure Web Console.
The GSP came out in the N class, then the L class, etc. The current version has much more functionality and is known as the MP. Many of the commands available in the GSP> CM prompt are available in the K class Service Mode, but nothing is there for console.
I have many customers who installed leftover Secure Web Consoles onto their K class servers, and it works very nicely.
Good Luck - Tim
