Reset of GSP on superdome

guys
i have two superdomes that seem to have aqiured the same issue.
i.e i cannot get a connection to the lan console, attaching locally to the remote console the GSP seems fine.
i have tried to disable and reenable the lan console, no change.
i have connected a lan cable from a 8440 lan console that works on the same subnet and it gives the same error so not a switch port issue.
if it was only one superdome i would think about lan connection point, but on both ??.
only other thing i can do is reset GSP and see if that cures it, but how do i do that.
regards
andrew

Re: Reset of GSP on superdome

Do this first:

Check if the cable is connected to the public port (next to the private port) - the private is intended for the SMS only.

(Double) Check the LAN config again.

MP:CM> ls or lc

Did you try telnet or ssh?

Check if one of them is disabled.

Hope this helps!

Re: Reset of GSP on superdome

Do you have this option on your system?

This is an example from a sx2000 Superdome:

MP:CM> sa

This command displays and allows modification of access parameters.

T - Telnet access : Enabled
H - SSH access : Enabled
W - Web Console : Disabled
N - Network Diagnostics : Enabled
D - DIAG Menu : Disabled
I - IPMI Lan access : Enabled
G - Windows Debug Client : Disabled
A - HP SIM Identification : Disabled

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
