SCSI queue for disk array

hi,
How to find SCSI queue for disk array using glance.? And what valus it should posses..when it is too large? Please advise

When running Glance, there are many 1-character commands that will take you to a specific measurement. Just type the ? character to see the list. The display you want is IO by Disk and can be seen by typing the letter u.

As far as a recommended value, queue depths might be just fine at 3 to 5 for a disk array with a very small cache (less than 500 megs) while 10 to 20 might be just fine for a big array controller with Gigabytes of cache memory. As with all performance questions, the best solution is to optimize the application and use Glance to monitor the results.

See the scsictl command for scsi queue depth from the OS perspective for a device. It's size will depend on the array and what else the array is handling.
