SSH to Access MP on SuperDome and rp84xx
* Your connection is via Telnet. For improved security this MP *
* now supports SSH-2. Telnet can be disabled via the SA command. *
Even after disabling Telnet, I still could not access MP via ssh with the following message:
# ssh sd0001m
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
Is there someting in the MP menu where I need to configure SSH?

Re: SSH to Access MP on SuperDome and rp84xx
The SSH (Secure SHell) capability has been added to the MP. This LAN access mode is a secure alternative to telnet which uses RSA public key authentication. The SSH clients which are supported are PuTTY (for windows) and openSSH (for Linux or Unix). These free clients are available on the internet. Before using SSH the user must generate the keys using the CG command, and enable SSH using the SA command. Default value for SSH set as disabled.
Hope this helps,
Nico

Re: SSH to Access MP on SuperDome and rp84xx
Actually the CG command is to generate SSL keys so your web console access is secure.
To generate new SSH keys for the SSH server inthe MP, you use the SO command and option number 5.
