Secure Web Console and SSH

Are there any conflicts in using a Secure Web Console and SSH? Am asking this because I cannot access my SWC (integrated to my RX2600 server) from any browser but the port is alive. I have also installed SSH in my system.

Re: Secure Web Console and SSH

No conflicts that I know of and all my SWC systems run ssh with no issues.

Might want to power off the SWC, possibly reset and reconfigure.

RP54XX/ hpux 11.i / Questions about security when connecting to CWC product.

"...The Central Web Console is accessed using http protocol using a browser to
connect to a Web Server, so there is no opportunity to use ssh using this
method. If you are concerned about security between the client browser and
the CWC server, you can enable SSL on the CWC Web Server to encrypt the
communication.
If you want to connect to a terminal server directly, then the CWC software
is not involved and ssh availability would depend on the terminal server. ... "

Re: Secure Web Console and SSH

hi steven
the web console is built-in on the rx2600...
unlike the SWC, the 'reset' switch is very visible...

it used to work before the ssh installation, when telnet was restricted, i believe the problem started.

Re: Secure Web Console and SSH

The problem is the retriction of the Telnet
Protocol. Once you have the connection open
it appears that the Secure Web Console uses
telnet to communicate.
I think I have seen an option to change the
port. Try changing it to 22 and you should
be OK.
I use SSH almost exclusively, and only use the
console when rebooting and such.
Support has been quite poor lately.
