Serial cable(RS-232)configuration required for RX4640

Hi All,
I want to access the MP of RX4640 machine with a help of a serial cable(RS-232). Could anyone please help me from where i get the exact pin congiuration for this cable.

Hi,

Why don't you do it through the lan

The MAC adress in an label on the server

arp -s IP MAC temp
telnet IP
Login : Admin/Admin
choose MA
choose LC (to configure LAN)

It is the easiest way to configure it

Hi,
I have configured it through LAN with the same proceure you have mentioned and it is workin prefectly.
But i dunno wat happened today when i tried to configure it through LAN again it is not wotking.
That's y i need the Pin configuartion for Serail cable.

Maybe I'm not understanding correctly, but you only need to configure the iLO port once, and access it via telnet (or ssh) after that.

The cable is a standard null modem cable. If you have one on hand, you do not need to make up a special cable
