Re: Server Get hanging intermediately

The log looks clean, but pay attention to the warning:

"WARNING: Current loading of DIMMs failed the distribution check. This
means the memory subsystem may not operate at optimal
performance levels. To correct, refer to DIMM loading rules
and re-distribute DIMMs.

Module Revision

------ --------

System Board A14008

PA 8500 CPU Module 2.4

PA 8600 CPU Module 3.0

PA 8500 CPU Module 2.4

PA 8500 CPU Module 2.4"

Check the memory installation.
Post
echo "selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog" | /usr/sbin/cstm

You have mixed CPU versions installed.
I guess this is not supported and may cause problems.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Server Get hanging intermediately

tombstones files will be generated for every system reboot. so the one that you have submitted is not a valid one, meaning not likely a hardware issue. when you mentioned hang, do you mean you try to reboot after the hang or it reboot by itself? if you try to reboot it, you should have tried the TOC button or TC command at the CM> prompt.

Re: Server Get hanging intermediately

the warning we see in the ts99 file :
' WARNING: Current loading of DIMMs failed the distribution check. This
means the memory subsystem may not operate at optimal
performance levels. To correct, refer to DIMM loading rules
and re-distribute DIMMs.'

may not be related to the hang, but the DIMMs should be installed according to some rules for optimisation.
