Server power on,"System LED" flashes non-stop with a loud beep

Hi,

I powered up a out of the box "hp9000 rp3410" server. The system LED keeps flashing continuously & a loud beeping sound is heard as well.

The documentation says this is a "System Alert 7". It says "Fatal hardware error detected by BMC".

How do i figure out what could be the problem?.

This server has no monitor. I have not been able to assign a IP-Address yet(since I have no MAC address printed on any label on server), so remote login is impossible.

Any ideas would be great!

Thanks

Re: Server power on,"System LED" flashes non-stop with a loud beep

Hi,

I guess there is a connection problem at least of one of the components due to the transport.

I would suggest to continue here:

Hope this helps!
