Re: Service processor related error message
Madhu,
GSP : Guardian Service Processor
If you connect a network cable and give it an IP adres you can remotly take over your console.
Some errors about the gsp appear in the syslog
For more info on the GSP see
http://docs.hp.com/en/A5191-96022/ch03s02.html

Re: Service processor related error message
Hello,
I guess you saw an Event from EMS in syslog.log !?
First of all, don't worry too much about it: it is quite commone and in most instances not really of concern.
Second, if you look for the details of this Event (either by executing the command quted in the syslog.log event or by checking /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log) you will find probably some hints about "restting " the GSP !? Try them!
To access GSP from OS, you may also try some backdoor described in the following docs:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=93741
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=14974
It should be noted, that this backdoor is only available in certain types of GSP of A-, L-, N-class Servers.
Regards.
Tobias
