Superdome Temp levels

Can I change the warning tempature levels on a superdome?

I have looked at the envd.conf file but as far as I can tell that only specifies what to do if a particular level is reached.

What are the default levels fro tempature warnings and errors?

Re: Superdome Temp levels

Hi,
no you can't change the temperature levels. They are well intended, and thus not configurable.

The temperature settings are as follow:
OVERTEMP LOW: 32 C
OVERTEMP MEDIUM: 38 C
OVERTEMP HIGH: 40 C

Regards.

Wow! That is a huge investment to risk very expensive repairs by changing the overtemp protection. Usually this is needed because a badly undersized or unreliable air conditioning system but to risk perhaps millions of dollars of hardware (not only the SuperDome but the disks and tape drives, etc--which DO NOT shutdown when it is too hot) in an inadequately ventilated room is very scary. High temperatures shorten the lifetime of electronic compnents and also increases random failures, often to the point that the equipment must be scrapped.
