Re: System Fault Managment

hi,
As the HP team told just use the below command to upgrade the SFM bundle.

i typed the command.

swinstall -s /path..../OpenSSL...

after that there is a SD install interaction which is asking for interaction, which i do not understand.

pls. help me.

This seems to install OpenSSL not SFM. (But I assume you'll do that next?)

swinstall needs to be told what to do. If you want to install all of that depot, you can add to the end:
\*

If you do this, it won't go into the interactive GUI.

Re: System Fault Managment

Hi,

> implications

If you do not have SFM on the server you will not be able to monitor your hardware for eg:- the fans, blowers , CPU etc that is the option of having the facility of evweb will be curtailed.

swinstall -s -x autoreboot=true/false (depending on if there is a kernel fileset) -x match_target=true. If you have dependency issues on the log files you will have to add states for autoselect_patches and enforce_dependencies.

swinstall -s /path..../OpenSSL... \*

As Ismail said, you may have to add other options:
swinstall -s /path..../OpenSSL... -x autoreboot=true \*
