Re: System power off during firmware updation

Hi,

check the status of the MP LEDs:

http://docs.hp.com/en/A7137-96008/ch01s03.html#d0e2258

Figure 1-16 iLO MP Card LAN LEDs

Table 1-15 iLO MP Card LAN LEDs

http://docs.hp.com/en/A7137-96008/ch01s03.html#i1021563

If the self test never ends or no LED is on you have killed the MP.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: System power off during firmware updation

Did you try to connect your PC via a null modem cable (serial)?

Hope this helps!

Re: System power off during firmware updation

As Torsten stated a null-modem cable will be needed to gain access if you can.

Power failure during a EEPROM burn typically will render things un-usable and require a call to HP in order to replace the MP.

but, if you have free time, see if you can connect and see if there is enough brains left to reflash.

Re: System power off during firmware updation

Ping with null modem cable? unlikely ...

Just to verify - did you check the MP port or the core LAN port?

See

Re: System power off during firmware updation

Now i see the LED status for MP lAN

There are four LEDs
1.self test(OFF)
2.10BT (ON Green)
3.100BT (OFF)
4.standby power (OFF)

Now if its dead then tell me which specific part i have to request or wht else i can do for this?should i replace the whole board or Just mp lan card,

Anyone recommend which part number?

Re: System power off during firmware updation

The MP is a single card - it is not integrated into the system board.

Anyway, green lights are good ;-)

Check again, if you can get serial access, see

http://docs.hp.com/en/A7137-96008/ch03s06.html#babdbdag

Hope this helps!
