Three node Cluster setup

Hi,
I have 2 node scsi active-active cluster (MCSG 11.16) setup and working fine, the wiring diagramn is attached. Now I want to attach third node to the exixting cluster which will also be active. In diagramn I have shown the node 3 as dotted, pl. let me know the connection diagramn is OK or not, also if I want to utilize second bus of MSA 30 then will it require additional dual port scsi controller on each node ?

Re: Three node Cluster setup

Check with HP to see if it is supported. There are issues with Y cables due to SCSI termination requirements. HP used to use in-line termination cables with the old FWD SCSI, but those didn't work once you got to 40MB/sec SCSI. Your MSA30 is well beyond that. The issue is whether you can disconnect and repair a computer, without shutting down both nodes, thus defeating the purpose of ServiceGuard. I'm not sure that you have a current supported config. If you are going to cluster beyond 2 nodes, then a FC SAN is much better.

Re: Three node Cluster setup

Hi Ted,
Thanks for your suggestion, I have already told client to go for FC SAN configuration.
