Troubleshooting CPU
I have a problem with 2 CPUs in the machine which was working before. Please see below
CPU Information:
Number of CPUs in the system = 8
CPU Map
cpu -------------------------------------------------
num |00|01|02|03|04|05|06|07|08|09|10|11|12|13|14|15|
-------------------------------------------------
state| M| a| a| a| d| d| a| a| | | | | | | | |
-------------------------------------------------
c - Configured (CPU powered on)
d - De-configured (CPU powered off)
a - Active (configured and processes running)
CPU 4/5 has deconfigured state.
I already rebooted the machine and still the same state.
Is there anyway I can reinitialize it ?
Thanks in advance. Any things I need to check

Re: Troubleshooting CPU
Not enough information to help you further.
Hope this helps!

Re: Troubleshooting CPU
It could be that a temporary license was applied to the server to utilize ICOD (instant capacity on demand), which has now lapsed and should have been upgraded. Also there is an icod daemon that needs to run too.
May not have anything to do with this, but it might be worth checking.
Regards,
JASH

Re: Troubleshooting CPU
I am using rp4440 9000/800 server. I'll try to switch CPU2 and CPU3 modules to further isolate if the problem is the module or the slot.

Re: Troubleshooting CPU
I would have a look into before doing anything inside the box. In case of doubt contact HP support.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
