Re: Upgrading 7410 to 7420
did your parmodify command work when you installed the cell?
And did you perform a firmware upgrade?
Not sure what state the added cell is in.

Re: Upgrading 7410 to 7420
I would strongly recomend to let a trained engineer from HP do the upgrade for you.
On the other hand if you have already done it, you can at least boot to BCH and this tells me that the system seems to have succeeded the selftests.
Your machine crashes with an HPMC after booting HPUX.
I would recomend to cllect the following data:
1.) sysrev output in MP CM> (what firmware is installed)
2.) ps on cabinet and cells
3.) MP error log (MP Main Menue, then sl)
4.) the HPMC data. To get this, boot to BCH, enter Service Menue ("ser"), run "pim" to get the pim information and "el" to get the I/O error log.
With these information, you should open a Call in the next HP support centre. If you like, I can take a look on the HPMC to make sure this is not only a simple cache error or something like this.
best regards
Stefan

Re: Upgrading 7410 to 7420
can you please give a few more details on what was wrong and how it was diagnosed and fixed. Full information will be very useful to somebody searching the forums for a fault on their machine.
Hope our questions helped point in the right direction!
Many Thanks
