Upgrading rp24xx (A400 & A500) firmware without tape

Hello,
i would like to upgrade the firmware, but don't have the tape.
Is it supported the upgrade from disk?
I create the bootable disk with command:
dd if=PF_CHAW4350.frm of=/dev/dsk/c3t15d0 bs=2k

Thanks
Best Regards

Re: Upgrading rp24xx (A400 & A500) firmware without tape

Mario,
I have used the tape method but
now find it more convenient to install
via an 'swinstall' of the relevant patch:

PHSS_30726 (11.11)
PHSS_30725 (11.00)

Once the patch is installed there
is a reboot; during which a Flash ROM
programming utility is invoked: after
an approximately two minute pause the
PDC firmware is re-programmed..

Obviously it is best to have your
A500 on UPS during this operation.

Hi Mario,

Take a look at patch PHSS_30726 11.11 or PHSS_31925 11.0.
