What targets could I put in a D280 model?

Hi,

I would like to know if I can put to a D280 model:
1) A Fibre Channel target.
2) A 100 lan target.

Thanks!
Carmen.

Re: What targets could I put in a D280 model?

The D280 has slots for HSC cards, as well as EISA cards.
It will make a large diferenceif you wish to use HP-UX11.x 64bit,m as there are NO drivers for hte EISA cards in teh 64bit version.

I would suggest you take a look at
http://partsurfer.hp.com

but here are a few ideas:
A6684A HSC-EFF TACHLITE FIBRE CHANNEL ADAPTER
J3515A 100Bt One port LAN card
J3516A 100Bt Two port LAN card
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

The cards needed are as follows:

J3516A - dual port 100BT LAN

A3395-60001 - 1063MB fibre channel

More info on these can be found at partsurfer.hp.com

Carmen,

now you got the part numbers, however,

first determine if you have enough free HSC slots; the D280 has only four, one of which is typically occupied by the remote mgmt card. One is used for the internal SCSI disk drives.

If you have no other choice you may consider replacing the remote mgmt card, see page 9 in
