Where to find A6826 and AB465A firmware update for PA?

How and where do I find this? Every instruction I find is geared towards EFI upgrade procedures?

could you please run this command and post the result:

fcmsutil /dev/xx vpd

(xx has to be changed to the correct device file taken from ioscan)

The firmware patch includes the PA-RISC firmware file, ql2312fw.bin.

2 Gb fibre channel adapter RISC firmware
file Version 3.03.154

You can use this file for the firmware update online with the fcmsutil tool.

Or you can use the PA offline diagnostic tool, pciutl for the firmware update. I suggest you will use PAODE0612.

If you update the firmware online, I would suggest you will download and update the HP-UX Fibre Channel driver before do that.

Hi,

AFAIK the firmware on the card along with the system firmware (or the EFI driver) come only in play if your system is booting from SAN using this card - all other things are handled by the driver.

Make sure you use a current driver!

If you really need to update the firmware, extract it from the EFI archive and use fcmsutil for the update.
