a question about how to mount DVD-ROM

I have a external DVD-ROM (C4314-69002 scsi).
when I mount it as following,
1.mount /dev/dsk/c0t1d0 /cdrom
it shows device busy
2.fuser /dev/dsk/c0t1d0 ====>/dev/dsk/c0t1d0:
fuser /cdrom======>... not mounted
3.when I insert disk to the DVDROM,it will be ejected at once.
How can I do?thanks!

Are you in the cdrom directory when you enter the mount command?

mount ├в o cdcase /dev/dsk/c0t1d0 /cdrom
assume the drive is in good condition.

Re: a question about how to mount DVD-ROM

If there is no disc in the DVD-ROM drive, you cannot mount the device.
You have to insert the disc first and run the mount command after that.

If the drive ejects the disk immediately after insertion, it might mean the drive thinks the disc is unreadable.

The disc should be inserted label side up, as usual. Inspect the shiny (bottom) side of the disc: if it's dirty or scratched, this may be the reason.
