a3509a scsi differential card transplant

Does anyone know if a a3509a scsi differential card out of a a3511a hp fibrechannel scsi multiplexer will work in a L class server?

Dont ask why but there is method in my madness :)

A quick review of Partsurfer shows no a3509a cards listed for the L class. I would assume that this means no.

i know that partsurfer quotes the A4800A as being the correct card just wondering if the a3509a was an older version.

I've installed the card in a spare L1000 and it is detected ok.

Now going to attach directlyto dlt8000 thats in
a redundant surestore 20/700 (i'll just have to manually load tapes to drive.

It has 20 drives and since i'm down to my last external dlt8000 drive this may be a workaround for my backup problems.

THe card works a treat with no errors, got a backup running happily.
