Re: boot problem
# model
# echo "selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog" | /usr/sbin/cstm
If the server is not running, execute from BCH:
Main Menu: Enter command or menu > in all
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: boot problem
if your on the gsp now, then type co and this should return you to console mode.
from here you should either be at BCH as mentioned or in hpux, unless it has stopped with an error.
the gsp logs are the error logs
sl,e,n for no filter.
need the last 4 or 5 errors.

Re: boot problem
If you log on to the GSP, you will see a message like this:
Hewlett-Packard Guardian Service Processor
(c) Copyright Hewlett-Packard Company 1999-2001. All Rights Reserved.
9000/800/L1000-44 System Name: uninitialized
In this case it is a L1000 server (aka rp5400). What do you get?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: boot problem
Please try read the GSp output again or simply read the label from the box.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Solution- 1st pair (0A, 0B)
- 2nd pair (1A, 1B)
- 3rd pair (2A, 2B)
- 4th pair (3A, 3B)
You probably want to reseat the memory dimms again to ensure they are all detected

Re: boot problem
The model(1) command will also give more details, if HP-UX is up.
