Ok...here's my $1.99.

Pull all memory out, leaving in 0A and 0B, and try again.

I think we're still not entirely clear on what type of system this is. It has GSP, so probably L or N class?
Should have been an astronaut.

I covered that with "if". Since he provided the uname output, he might have had the model output too.

It could not be that hard to read the model from the label I think ...


But removing all memory and start with minimum is also a good start ...

tkc and Ron got it right, i didn't have the knowledge to place the RAMs now i have placed it as - 1st pair (0A, 0B)..

Now i am happy because of all your's suggestions and the your valuable time ..
