HP 9000 ,HP-UX 10.20
the computer can't boot from CD where the message "processor is booting from first available device" appear but the message " to disconnect ,press any key within 10 seconds " don't appear
and the computer don't react to any key and the computer always reset after it reach to stage:- Booting...

Solution
hi,
the computer is in secure mode, this stops the message displaying so you cannot modify anything.
to get round this you have to disconnect the bootable devices first(disks) and also remove cd from drive. make sure its not connected to lan or bootp server aswell.
once this is done turn on the machine and it will cycle through all possible boot paths until it cannot find anything to boot from. It will then drop you back at the BCH menu in PDC
from ma prompt here type
MA>co sec off
or go into configuration menu
MA>co
and then turn off secure mode here.
then you can turn off and coinnect everything back up. power up and you will get the message and 10 seconds

BTW, at the PDC prompt you might want
to type: SEA
to see if the computer can see your CD drive.
