Re: cannot bootup a400 after re-install HPUX 11.00

hi simon,
Are you sure you are booting from the same
disk on which the O.S. is installed ?
If yes then i will suggest to re-install the O.S. & select 64bit instead 32bit this time.
Hope you are doing a advance installation where you have an option to select this.

Re: cannot bootup a400 after re-install HPUX 11.00

An A400 only supports a 64-bit kernel. It sounds as if you somehow managed to load 32-bit HP-UX on this machine, which will definintely not work.

You need to start from scratch and make sure that the 64-bit HP-UX is selected when you do the install.

Hi,

Have a look at the link the following

http://devrsrc1.external.hp.com/STK/serversupport.html

As you see, A400 is supported 64BIT (ONLY)

re-install 11.0/64bit with correct Media.

Easy going at all.
