Using a 700/96 terminal in place of a bad 700/92 terminal to connect to an 827S running 11.00. The 700/96 has been set up according to user manual, but still cannot get any comminication from server. Might there be a software patch for 11.00 or a setting that I am missing to get this to work?
Thanks in advance for any response.

Solution
If the terminal is ok, there should be no problem. Try to reset the terminal - switch off, hold down "d" while switching on for some seconds.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: connecting 700/96 terminal to HP 9000 827S
Another item to check - which cale are you using - the one from 700/92 or the one on the 700/96?
Try swapping the cable out if resetting the terminal does not work.

Re: connecting 700/96 terminal to HP 9000 827S
Look carefully at the connectors on the back of the 700/96. There is a printer connector that is easily confused as the serial port. Use port 1 as this is the default connection when you reset the terminal.
