Re: consol problem

Hi,

The idea is to find what has changed since the last time the server booted well...

Why can't you change /etc/inittab?

Can you run and post the results of the following commands:

#tail -1 /etc/shutdownlog
# ll -tr /etc/rc.config.d | tail -10
# ll -tr /sbin/init.d | tail -10
# ll /etc/inittab

Re: consol problem

1.Any kernel change was made ?

2.Have you changed permission of /usr/lib ,/sbin or /usr/lib/bin.

3.what is the output of sar -v 1 11.( to check whether maxuprc/nproc values exceeds the current kernel parameters)

4.give cat /etc/rclog|grep ERROR

Good Luck
