console problem with HP server rp5470

Hi every people!

I am installing HP-UX11.00 to rp5470 server.
After selecting language for keyboard, there are garbage characters in my screen. I tried to change console parameters or GPS parameters.

But i have problem :
1. I cannot access to user systerm of console ( i use another keyboard without function keys! Are there any shortcut-key for user system?)
2. When I press Ctrl+b to access GSP promt, i was asked to login with username and password. I haven't set it before!

I am very confused now, Could anyone help me to solve it. Thanks!

Check your emulation.
I advise you to use vt100

so try Admin/Admin as userid and password for th console...(it's the default).

Hi,

You can login to GSP using Ctrl+B and login details as Admin/Admin - this is the default account.

After that you can type CO at MAINMENU get the console again.

Are you using any terminal emulation software to connect to the console, try setting the emulation as vt100.

I set vt100 in both console and GSP. and it helped me solve the problem. I had installed HP-UX11.00 already.

Hi Nhan,
Are You using a hp terminal. Then Switch off the terminal, Press D & Switch. Keeping Pressing the key for 10 seconds. This will load the terminal to default values.

Then If You invoke ctrl+B, M/C will give you MP menu, from that you can select console, VFP, Command Menu, Console Logs, Chasis Logs Menus.
